GAP Institute requests access to the signed contract for the construction of TPP "Kosova e Re"

Today, GAP Institute has submitted a request for access to the contract signed on 20 December 2017 between the Government of Kosovo and the Contour Global Company for the construction of TPP "Kosova e Re".
According to Article 41 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the Law on Access to Public Documents, we request that MED allow access to this document of public interest.
We remind you that GAP Institute several times has submitted requests for access to tender package TC "Kosova e Re". In the GAP request sent on 8 March 2012, MED responded in this form:
"In this bidding package are documents that are in the form of a draft and which before we can get the final form we will not be able to make available to you. Bidding package documents take the form after the final contract signing. The sign of confidentiality will be removed after the contract becomes final and signed by both parties. "
GAP Institute has never agreed with the access of public institutions to prevent access to draft documents and therefore we have filed a lawsuit on June 3, 2013. But even after four and a half years there is still no court decision on this lawsuit.
Therefore, based on MEDs earlier responses that the documents will be made public after the signing, we hope that this time the Constitution and the Law on Access to Public Documents will be respected.
