Bekimi is a Policy Analyst at GAP Institute. He joined the GAP Institute in May 2012. Until 2015 he served as a Researcher and managed the local government project. From 2015 to 2021 Bekimi has been a Senior Researcher, to take the position of policy analyst from this time. Bekimi holds a Masters degree in International Politics from the University of Prishtina. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor studies in Political Science at the University of Prishtina (2001-2004). Bekimi has worked as a journalist for the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) and the Koha Ditore newspaper. Also for two years he was a regular contributor in Kosovo, of the Albanian-American newspaper "Illyria" based in New York.
