The University of Prizren is accredited in an institutional level

A total of 5 study programs within the University of Prizren have been accredited.
In its 148th meeting, through the decision 10/148, the Government decided on the accreditation of the University of Prizren in an institutional level. The accredited programs are: Business Administration (BA); International Management (BA); Information Technology and Telecommunication (BA); Software Design (BA); Law (LLB) and German Language (BA). The accreditation is valid for one year.
Based on the Development Plan approved on May this year, this institution should be called a University College, whereas the Post-graduate College will be established in the coming years. The number of admitted students is increased from 600 to 1,500. In the other hand, the inauguration of the academic year 2010-2011 was held on October 11th. This is the first academic year of the Public University of Prizren, which offers 6 study programs and not only students from Kosovo are eligible to attend, but also students from Albania and regional countries.
It's important to recall that the Kosovo Government offered 22 thousand places for new students, for the academic year 2010/11, in both public universities in Prishtina and Prizren. This number marks a significant increase compared to 2007 where there were only 7 thousand available places for new students in the public university.
