Remittances in Kosovo (2015 - 2024)
19/02/2025In recent years, remittance inflows from the diaspora have consistently grown, despite economic crises in sending countries. However, in 2024, the total value of remittances remained nearly unchanged compared to 2023, while their share relative to GDP experienced a slight decline.
Does this suggest that the maximum potential for remittances stands at approximately 1.3 billion euro per year and that their share of GDP will return to previous levels of 11–12% in the coming years?
