Export and import of services in Kosovo

In 2025, Kosovo exported services worth €3.9 billion (+15% vs. 2024), while importing €1.7 billion (+6% vs. 2024), resulting in a positive trade balance in services of around €2.2 billion.

For every €1 exported in services, Kosovo imported only 44 cents. This import-to-export ratio is among the most favorable in the region and beyond. Typically, large economies tend to have exports and imports that are nearly balanced, both for goods and services. They focus on producing goods and providing services in which they have greater expertise, while importing those goods and services for which other countries have a comparative advantage.
