Government proposes to the Assembly the names for the Procurement Regulatory Commission

For 6 months, the Procurement Regulatory Commission has been functioning with an expired mandate.

In the 125th meeting, the Kosovo Government proposed to the Kosovo Assembly, the appointment of the Chairman and Members of the Procurement Regulatory Commission, as follows: Safet Hoxha – chairman, Ilaz Duli – member and Silvana Nikolcevic – member. Based on the Law on Public Procurement, members of the PPRC must meet at least one of the following criteria: he/she must be a lawmaker, an economist or a professional with a university degree in the field of engineering or architecture, and have a significant experience in the execution of work projects. In contrast with the previous mandate when the PPRC was consisted of 5 members, but with the amendment and fulfillment of the Law on Public Procurement in Kosovo 02/L-99, article 86.1, in February 2007, the PPRC now consists of only three (3) members. The mandate of five years remains the same, whereas the re-appointment of the members can only be done once.
