The intercity highways get expanded a decision is made for the expropriation of properties

The Kosovo Government, on its 124^th meeting, decided to approve the request for the expropriation of properties in order to expand the intercity highways Prishtina-Peja and Prishtina-Mitrovica. The expropriation of properties will be conducted throughout road M9 from Fushe Kosova to Arllat, and the highway M2 from Prishtina to Mitrovica. This decision was made in full accordance with the Law on Expropriation of Immobile Property. Meanwhile, the compensation value of these properties will be determined based on corresponding categories from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and supported by the Ministry of Transport and Post-Telecommunication and the Municipalities where the respective cadastral zones are located. The expansion of these intercity highways was one of the campaign promises made by PDK during the campaign for the 2007 elections.
