Government provides spaces for the construction of the School of Talents and AUK campus

With the financing of the World Bank, a primary and secondary school will be built for the high skilled students; whereas in Hajvalia neighborhood the American university in Kosovo (AUK) will build its campus. After the request from the Municipality of Prishtina, the Kosovo Government decided to provide needed spatial land for building these school facilities. 

In its 130th meeting the Kosovo Government approved the request of the Mayor of Prishtina Municipality, that surface of 90736 m2 at the place called 'Lama e Druve” is declared a specific interest zone. This zone is near Prishtina Tile Factory and it is an ownership of 'INM Kosovo”. On September 26th 2008, the Assembly of the Prishtina Municipality decided to request support from the Kosovo Government, that this zone is declares a specific interest zone. In this zone the World Bank has shown interest to finance at least two schools, one primary and another secondary school, for the high skilled students, or as it is named 'School of Talents”.

In the same meeting the Government decided to take into consideration the request of the American University in Kosovo (AUK) for building a campus in Hajvalia neighborhood. The cadastral parcels where AUK plans to build its campus are owned by KPA and therefore it requires a further review.
