Chad Briggs

Advisory Board Member

Chad Briggs is a lecturer at RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) and Johns Hopkins University, and a consultant with GlobalInt LLC. He specializes in energy and environmental policy and security, and also teaches courses on information warfare and policy ethics. Dr. Briggs was previously the Minerva Chair and Professor of Energy and Environmental Security for the US Air Force (Air War College), and a senior advisor for the US Department of Energy. He was a Fulbright professor to Budapest, Hungary (Corvinus University) and Berlin, Germany, and in recent years has worked in Ukraine on issues of cyber security and hybrid warfare. Briggs earned his PhD in political science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and during his studies was a visiting scholar at University College London. He has also studied in Ireland, Hungary, Norway, and France. His most recent book, Disaster Security: Using Intelligence and Military Planning for Energy and Environmental Risks, will be published by Cambridge University Press in 2019.
