Blendi Hasaj is a Senior Researcher at GAP Institute. Blendi holds a MSc in Economics from Heidelberg University in Germany. He received a BS with highest honors in Economics & Management and Public Policy, from Rochester Institute of Technology in Kosova. For his academic achievements he received the Best Economics Student Award. Before joining GAP Institute, he worked for three years as a Research Associate at Center for Energy and Natural Resources at RIT Kosova. He was also engaged as an expert and consultant by GIZ and Social Impact. Blendis broad research interests are in International Trade and Macroeconomics, but he is also interested in topics related to social welfare, such as income inequality and labor market barriers.
